Tavi, the famously fab 12 year-old blogger, is often cited as one of the most fashion-forward figures of the current style circuit. Fashion folk worldwide tune into her Style Rookie blog each day to get a glimpse of her latest get-ups and commentaries. When I saw this photo of her wearing her classic Slow and Steady Wins the Race sunglasses, I was reminded of one of my favourite males and his similar sunnies.
See after the jump to find out who I’m on about!

I doubt I need to give any background to the ‘Presidential Major Moment’ currently hitting headlines around the world. Looking through pictures of President Obama’s (how unbelievably cool is that?!) inauguration, I couldn’t help but let my mind wonder onto more sartorial matters. It struck me that while the new First Lady was rocking a very diplomatic Isabel Toledo (Cuban-born, American-based designer) outfit, Barack looked rather bland in his suit and red tie. But it appears that this outfit is a rather well-worn fashion formula…

I want Barack Obama to become the President of the USA. I do. Honestly.
However, telling you guys is enough for me and I don’t feel the need to have his name plastered across each of my outfits. Benji Madden turned up to a Diesel’s 30th Birthday in New York having heavily invested in the trend for Obama-slogan clothes and his political tuppence worth came in the form of a print tee.

With a new of series of Heroes about to begin, the unfortunate death of Yves Saint Laurent and the number of Clark Kent-y characters about in the most recent blockbusters, my style radar is tuned to the male who’s gauche, awkward and geeky in the best way possible. Think of 1970s art students carrying open sketchbooks around Paris, Isaac Mendez of Heroes lounging around his studio in over-sized chinos and Marc Jacobs around his grunge era (which means big glasses, baggy jumpers and lots of corduroy.) I took a risk with mixing the denim shirt with dark jeans but the two items together are a wearable look that anyone can pull off.
Check out the product details after the jump and see how geeky you can get this winter- Argyle jumper anyone?

A fantastically over-the-top and outrageously extravagant magazine issue seems to be à la mode for the brand anniversaries of today. Lacoste reworked Visionaire for their 75th Anniversary and now Esquire, the mens lifestyle magazine, is celebrating their 75th (coincidence?) with the World’s first ‘Digital Cover.’ In Brandish speak: a cover that actually moves!
There will only be 100,000 copies of this issue and when it appears on newsstands come September, it will boast that “the 21st Century Begins Now!” The New York Times reports that the issue will come with an attached battery pack.
Who will get the cover- an undoubtedly huge boost for any career!

Perez Hilton has got his hands on an image from the heavily anticipated Jude Law for Dior Homme Sport campaign. Hilton complains of the blatant photoshop-job surrounding Jude’s sudden wealth of hair, hence the equally blatant ‘FAKE’ scrawled across the image in trademark Perez style!
JustJared reports that Jude was shot by Australian photographer Daniel Askill in May, on location in the Bahamas. Askill says of the fragrance campaign; “it was hard for me to decide whether to take it on because I had directed an ad for Dior before with Hedi [Slimane], it was one of the last major projects before he left, so it was a very tumultuous time.”
Keep reading for more details and backstage (behind the camera?) gossip!

The new Batman film, Dark Knight, has been causing quite a stir throughout the film industry. Heath Ledger’s stellar acting, the new and improved Batmobile, the expectations thrust upon Christian Bale- all these things are no doubt exciting but how did the creative edge of this film translate onto the red carpet?
Read on for full details of this thriller evening.

The Farlex Free Dictionary decrees that Monday is “the second day of the week, and the first day of the working week.” That latter part means that for most of us, it is a ridiculously depressing day of hellish tasks and grumpy peers.
So why not add a dash of excitement with these pictures from the August 2008 issue of Dazed & Confused. From the title editorial, itself entitled ‘Dark Magic,’ I present to you Luke Worrall in high heels and other pieces of women’s clothing.
Read on for all the pics.

The word is out and diamond-encrusted rattles our shaking throughout Hollywood. The Pitt-Jolies (or the better-sounding Jolie-Pitts,) are welcoming to the world a baby boy and girl. The boy has been named Knox Leon and the girl Vivienne Marcheline, with sources reporting that Vivienne came in at 5lbs; a fraction lighter than her brother.

Last Friday, Jay-Z turned up on Jonathan Ross and as the guestlist was revealed, I was delighted to see good ol’ Jay-Z rocking the Geek-Chic look. But sadly for Mr. Z (can we call him that?) Matt Damon had tried the look over two months before. Usually an all-round innovator and owner of his own label, I have come to expect more of this man with those infamous 99 problems.
Okay, okay- maybe Im being slightly sarcastic but let’s be honest; that beige jacket is rather horrific. However, I’m liking the ‘Globe-trotter’ scarf tied into the loop of his jeans and with quotes like “home was like the cliché of rough…when I was nine I saw someone shot for the first time” and “my favourite is heartfelt music… I listen to Coldplay, 50 Cent, Kanye West,” what’s not to love?

The latest edition of Visionaire has been outed as a tribute to Lacoste’s 75th Anniversary. So far, the infamously expensive Visionaire collection has seen issues made of puzzles and vinyl records but we are now being treated to the ‘first wearable issue.’ Confused? Let me explain.
This issue of Visionaire, in collaboration with Lacoste, will contain three state-of-the-art “full-coverage, full-colour, photographically-printed Lacoste polo shirts featuring artwork by some of the world’s leading artists and photographers.” Basically, the magazine will come in the form of a suitcase containing twelve images and three different shirts. There will be one small, one medium and one large within each copy and there will be four different sets of the SPORT issue. Included is the artwork of Nick Knight, Karl Lagerfeld and Michael Stipe to name but a brilliant few.
The issue will be previewed during next week’s Paris Haute-Couture collections. Those with a subscription are guaranteed a copy.
Each issue costs $250 (£125.)

I’m officially torn- Luke Worrall, the male-supermodel and It-boy of the London fashion scene has been spotted (now that’s an understatement) with Kelly Osbourne. My question is whether she is a suitable match for a rising fashion star. I’m personally not a fan but then I’m a fashion writer who is rather over-protective when it comes to sartorial stars. That’s right Tom Cruise- don’t even try to get near our Aggy!
The couple were spotted at the ‘Night of Tease’ fundraiser at the Cafe de Paris on the 15th of May and have since been seen in more cute outfits and even cuter embraces. What do you think? Does ‘Worrelly‘ have a future or are we agreed that Ms. Osbourne and Mr. Worrall are as bad a match as Amy Winehouse and ‘Free Nelson Mandela?’ Poll after the jump.

Continuing our trend watch, we
present to you the ‘Lost’
tee. There’s no need for us to recount the whole story of how these tees
came around, but now even underwhelming TV shows are getting the t-shirt
treatment.
One does wonder though, when was this shirt
thought up? Was it during the first season, when Lost looked certain to become
the biggest show of the decade or during the second season when people got
bored of it? They could have made a similar tee from Heroes characters would
probably be a lot more successful right now. Although I personally would like
one featuring characters from The Wire, the best show on TV bar none. If
someone made that I’d give them all the money I have on me right now (£2.34
& some Halls Soothers).
