Silver hi-tops from b Store

By admin on August 27th, 2008

mascaleros silver trainer b store.jpgFormal shoes have eclipsed trainers in the style stakes for a good while now but sometimes you just want to cocoon yourself in comfort.

b Store‘s Mascaleros silver hi-tops are comfy and plain enough to pass everyday muster while the silver finish adds a bit of a stylistic flourish. They’re reduced to £74.50 on the site and will make even the most simple combination of jeans and t-shirt look flash.

Love The Look: “Tiger Woods/Masters Edition” Nike Blazer Hi Premium

By Will Reid on August 20th, 2008

nike-blazer-hi-premium-tiger-woods-masters-edition-p.jpgI’m not really a golfer and so I can’t claim any deep knowledge/love/appreciation of golf. I can however show knowledge/love/appreciation of knit V-necks with funky patterns and an equally passionate knowledge/love/appreciation of the new “Tiger Woods/Masters Edition” Nike Blazer Hi Premium.

Kix and the City reports that “to pay tribute to Tiger’s dominance at the Masters, Nike is set to release the “Tiger Woods/Masters Edition” Nike Blazer Premium Hi. The “Tiger/Masters” Nike Blazer Hi features a White/Black Leather upper with a faux Tiger hair Swoosh, a Masters-like logo at the heel tab, and a Green Hoody, symbolic of the Master’s trademark Green Jacket, on the tongue.”

Gola Valiant Hi-Top from asos

By admin on August 13th, 2008

gola valiant hi-top asos trainer grey retro.jpgWhen Jason featured Generic Man recently I oohed and aahed at the simplicity of it all. As someone who loves COS, Uniqlo and designers like Margaret Howell and Patrik Ervell, the pared-down stylings are right up my street.

Gola’s Valiant Hi-Top (£40) from asos offer the same unpretentiousness and good looks but in an altogether more obviously sporty package. The perforated uppers are a subtly retro touch and still a firm favourite of mine. Wear them with slim jeans and a branded polo or white shirt for a bit of a chavvy luxe look. Yes I’m serious, I spotted someone at the weekend with Y-3 trainers, a YSL shirt and a number one, and it looked awesome.

Topman sale: Black hi-top sneakers

By admin on June 26th, 2008

topman sale hi top patent black purple.jpgTopman’s sale is on and they’re slapping massive discounts tons of stock. My choice are these black and purple hi-tops which are reduced to £20.

Is there any such thing as a pair of ‘evening’ trainers? They’re plain enough to go with most outfits but the patent accent is a nice textural touch and the purple adds interest. Buy them now and stash them away till winter when they’ll look great with a pair of ash-grey jeans.

Puma Classic Butters

These Puma hi-tops come in such a suave colour, you could get away with wearing them to a wedding or other such formal do. They are the essence of smooth, I can imagine the wearer having highly moisturised skin and the smoothest shave since big school. Be all trendy and wear them with shorts in a similar tone, with this colour you could get away with a flash of fluoro pink on your t-shirt or sunglasses. They’re $120 from Situation Normal who cherry pick the fanciest trainers, clothing and accessories

for you.
