Nicola Formichetti’s blog is a haven for fashion-friendlies worldwide. From Japanese karaoke to Lady Gaga in the dressing room via iD and plenty of Hedi Slimane, this blog is always full of intimate shots and fashion-star exclusives. Nicola recently featured images from his latest shoot with Slimane for Hedi Slimane.com. The shoot, entitled ‘California Teens,’ includes only two models but shows a huge variety of sets and looks including dog heads with Swarovski eyes and Rodarte worn as a balaclava.

When Brandon Flowers stepped onto the stage at this years Brits 2009 in that jacket I died as I felt my own wardrobe implode with sheer joy. His jacket had major shoulder pads covered in long feathers and the overall look was a mixture of indie legend and an American footballer who had been given a makeover by Jean Paul Gaultier.
I was pleasantly surprised at how many people shared in my amazement and when I set my Facebook status to something Brandon-related immediately I had replies from fashion, music and technology writers all claiming to be either in love/ mad with envy or seeing double. In the later months of last year, the Brandish team began to see previews from the Jeremy Scott Loves Ksubi denim collection.
Now, upon Lady Gaga wearing the orange love-heart suit in Sunday Times Style magazine, we are pleased to tell you that the line will be in-stores this March.
This is the fifth time the two labels have collaborated and as with previous collections, Jeremy Scott Loves Ksubi 2009 toys with the idea of Scott’s brilliant, brash prints with the achingly cool shapes of Aussie-label Ksubi.
Trashbag Aesthetics have reported that the line will be released in shops in March and we have already begun sharpening our elbows!
The floral-print denim at left is the only menswear we have so far seen from the collection but those hardcore fashionistos will no doubt be rocking the woman’s Nu-Rave orange ASAP.
