Lou Dalton’s spring/summer 2012 collection is all about shorts: medium shorts, short shorts and long shorts… ok the latter is probably just called trousers but you get the idea. Teamed with bomber jackets and some more tailored top pieces, the collection was
When Acne creative director Jonny Johansson was asked about the Men’s Fall 2011 collection he shrugged and stated “All the tailoring—I thought that was in the moment, something fresh. I’m tired of all this heritage, the older models or whatever. It’s time for something young.” Here at Brandish we completely agree! The collection includes a series of overcoats paired with …

Eley Kishimoto‘s LFW parties are always a relaxed affair; so forget any fashion snootiness because last night’s bash was a friendly, vibrant do with masses of well dressed people.
News just in from the Topman design team about the direction they will be taking the Topman Design show:

The dedicated menswear day at LFW is definitely cause for excitement, the names might not be as big as on the womenswear schedule but in terms of creativity and variety it’s hard to beat. Here’s a preview of some of our fave designers from the line-up, stay tuned for more.

Hey! Don’t think for one minute that I’m agreeing about the lack of menswear at LFW and the general confusion at the amount of fashion weeks (ahem!), but you should go and take a look at the rest of Sunday Best‘s most recent ‘One Leg at a Time’ cartoon. It’s pure teh fashion lolz.
As we walked into the On|Off exhibition I had a ‘I want that boat’ Napoleon Dynamite moment looking at Rozalb de Mura’s designs. I especially lusted after a pleated sleeve tunic in a gorgeous shade of grey and on the catwalk the menswear was equally impressive.
Rozalb de Mura is the name of a fictional baron thought up by the design team which is a brilliantly Martin Margiela touch. Designer Olah Gyarfas has been working in his native Romania for the last two years on the de Mura label.
Mark Ronson has always been a tiptop fashion star and this year has been awash with his sartorial influence. From the stripes and Mod look of early 2008 to the sharp tailoring in kooky fabrics. From the 50s rock-star (read: Elvis) to the fur-clad aristo-geek.
Now, Ronson is taking it upon himself to lead the way with the trapper-hat wearer, ‘Lightspeed Champion,’ look as first established by our (soon to depart-) Jason Dike.
Estelle, Ozwald Boateng, Nat Weller, Tolula Adeyemi and snowboarder/model Charlotte Dutton were some of the names who came to Harrods for the launch of André Benjamin’s Benjamin Bixby menswear line.
André 3000 as he is known to Outkast fans turned up looking suitably retro in turned-up jeans, green polo and a dogstooth jacket.
The On|Off party was a truly special event with massages and mini-spa treatments galore, and limited edition goodie bags created by Natalie Thakur who is known for her leather homage to the plastic bag.
House of Holland is once again teaming up with Levi’s for a six-piece capsule collection, which has been inspired by Beverly Hills 90210…
Unconditional is without doubt my favourite collection which shows at London Fashion Week. Autumn Winter 08 is a real return to form for the label with some fresh new looks. Last season’s show was nice, but was a bit of a safe collection for them, delivering more of the same fine gauge knits, draped and gathered garments and chest-baring T-shirts …
