J.W Anderson is a fringe designer who is fast-becoming one of the edgiest and coolest designers on the menswear scene. His Spring/Summer 2009 look-book is styled around themes of religion and from the title, ‘An Eye for an Eye,’ to the rosary beads and ornate headdresses, his theme is strong and bold.
A while ago when Silas pulled out of the UK I was pretty gutted because at the time they were my favorite brand due to the fact that their T-Shirts fit so damn well, the actual design of the T’s were less important to me but to be fair these were just as great. Silas has returned to the UK (though the brand still concentrates on its much larger following in Japan) and has grown up a wee bit with some smarter pieces to their range such as the awesome knitwear and coats featured in this winter 08 lookbook put together by Unbar.
Stephen Jones, the milliner extraordinaire and all-round fashion hero, has just released his collection for Spring/Summer 2008 and it is the ‘Cactus Hat’ from this ‘Desert Rose’ JonesBoy collection that takes place as the 19th thing on our WISHLIST.
This portrait of F.I.T student in New York magazine’s look book isn’t technically a short suit, it’s a blazer with shorts – but its close enough. We’ve seen a multitude of badly worn short suits lately but this one is a lot closer to looking good than the rest. For starters the top half is great, nicely tailored blazer, great shirt and nice use of colour with the tie. The bottom half of this look is a different story.
