French label APC is racking up a second collaboration with Nike, to produce a new version of their All Court from 1975. APC founder and designer Jean Touitou said “We had a longing to make an elegant and simple sports shoe.” Toitou also added that he thought Nike should never have ceased production of the simple tennis shoe, and the French company will be bringing them back in Gallic red, white or blue.
You’ll be able to get the shoes from APC stores from this spring

At the start of the week we saw Kanye wearing a piece of his own clothing line Pastelle, we can now inform you that Pastelle will be released to us normal people this coming January. “Hurrah!” Kanye fans cheer, I sigh in disbelief. I sigh further because we are not done with the College Drop Out’s assault on the fashion world as his signature Nike’s the Air Yeezy will be released in March. The Air Yeezy, a bastardisation of Air Jordan’s, Bapestars and pure evil from the mind of Mr West can be seen on the man himself, along with another Pastelle piece through the jump.

As a rule I generally want my trainers as obnoxious as possible, bright colours, glow in the dark, even their own lighting system wouldn’t go a-miss, but these all grey AM90‘s are the bloody business. Dubbed as the “iD Sample” Air Max due to them having a more than striking resemblance to the sample trainers found in Nike iD studios, these kicks are proving once more that less is definitely more.
Being grey they will go with anything, a claim that is rarely claimed of the Nike Air Max family and one I valiantly stand by. T-shirts, polo’s, shirts, cardigans, tweed, plaid, gingham, denim, canvas, cord, you name it and it’ll fit with these grey wonders, perhaps I have to draw the line at a double breasted suit but still who knows- take a risk!
Available now from Wellgosh for £88.99.

Though these have recieved great praise on other blogging sites, I’m inclined to say that these two Air Max Lites from the Fall/Winter collection kinda suck balls. Both colourways are horrendous and they both look like cheap knock offs you buy in the pub- which, if you didn’t know, is not a good look.
Thinking about it the whole Air Max Lite line has been a constant disappointment to me and seeing as they have on the whole been ignored by collectors (possibly due to the fact that they lack any exclusivity what so ever) are a disappointment to everyone else. An unstoppably stream of terrible colourways and printed designs has left the whole AML line with only a few viable options in the blander colours. Does anyone actually like the bastard child of the Air Max range? Answers on a postcard to isabelle at shinymedia.com.
If you were interested, and I kind of hope you’re not, then both these colourwas are available now from select (but probably not that select) Nike retailers.

Hitting you up with some more Levi’s action, this time from Japan. Levi’s Japan has launched a new service for all of those who wanted custom jeans straight out the box. Following in the footsteps of Nike I.D it is now possible to get custom jeans direct from Levi’s with the ability to pick the cut, wash, wear, and details such as rivet colour and paint spatters.
This is all good and I’m sure it will take off, though I would like to see some more wash options and a few different cuts other than 502 regular wide, 505 regular wide and 517 bootcut- what’s wrong with a nice skinny fit?

I’m not really a golfer and so I can’t claim any deep knowledge/love/appreciation of golf. I can however show knowledge/love/appreciation of knit V-necks with funky patterns and an equally passionate knowledge/love/appreciation of the new “Tiger Woods/Masters Edition” Nike Blazer Hi Premium.
Kix and the City reports that “to pay tribute to Tiger’s dominance at the Masters, Nike is set to release the “Tiger Woods/Masters Edition” Nike Blazer Premium Hi. The “Tiger/Masters” Nike Blazer Hi features a White/Black Leather upper with a faux Tiger hair Swoosh, a Masters-like logo at the heel tab, and a Green Hoody, symbolic of the Master’s trademark Green Jacket, on the tongue.”
For more images of this brilliant shoe check out Kix and the City.

Pointer are a fashion given, their simple designed footwear borders the boundary between smart and casual wear. Owned by Carhartt, Pointer have dug themselves a little niche that is ever expanding in a business dominated by one swoosh and three stripes, with even the most hardcore of Ekin (a person who knows Nike back to front- work it out) dropping a pair of Pointers into their collection.
Nick Schonberger of highsnobiety.com talks to Gareth Skewis, one of the brains behind Pointer on topics such as his influences, the market and Pointer’s competition. Check the interview out here and check some Pointer footwear out here, if you haven’t already.

He’s back! The man, the legend, the enigma that is the Democratic presidential candidate; Barack Obama. The man comes in many guises including a t-shirt we featured a few weeks ago and one we featured a few months ago, and now you could (maybe) have his visage on your feet with these Mobama Dunks.
Artist Virtual Mo created these at the Nike Innovation Kitchen and have Obama’s face lasered onto the toe box of the right shoe as well as other laser printed details. Release wise there are only two pairs in existence, but rumour has it that as the Presidential Election heats up there may be a limited release of these bad boys, so keep your ear to the ground.

I can’t seem to go a day without mentioning Kanye West lately, but this complex post is an interesting one on his various collaborations and the likeliness of them ever appearing in stores. Let us know which one you think will be out first in the poll after the jump.

The link between fashion and sport is undeniable, even the fashion heavyweights such as Ralph Lauren and Fred Perry have history in sporting activities of various types. Assuming you’re not head to toe in bespoke suit and a pair of wingtips it’s an almost certainty that you’re wearing some kind of sportswear, unless of course you’re reading this naked. In which case kudos. The link is even more noticeable in the street fashion scene with uber-weight sport’s companies like Adidas and Nike pretty much owning the game with vintage re-releases and limited editions.
The Fashion Vs. Sport exhibition at the V&A started this week and is running through to the 4th of January. The exhibition explores in depth the link between sport and fashion and looks to be a bloody fun and educational afternoon out. For more info get over to the V&A’s website here.
To celebrate the exhibition I have knocked together my top 5 sport fashion items, check them out after the jump!

Old-school trainers are the best, I’m personally partial to dad’s favourite the Hi-Tec Squash but these Nike Waffle Racers are pretty close to the real thing.
They’re especially made to look exactly like their thirty year old predecessors even down to the aged laces (which I have on good authority aren’t all that as they look a little yellow and odd). So get yourself a pair of new laces and head down to Size? where they’re £50.
