Going Japanese with Onitsuka Tiger Kobe collection

By Elisabeth Edvardsen on June 16th, 2011

Originally established in the Japanese city of Kobe, Onitsuka Tiger is returning to its roots with the new Kobe Collection. Made of the finest quality, these trainers are made from the world famous Kobe leather and are subtly embellished with the tiger stripes.

The Fabre BL-L DX Kobe

The Fabre BL-L is the high top version of the BL-S Basketball shoe. Finished in the finest Kobe leather with subtle stripe detailing underlining the premium nature of this product.

Comes in light brown in sizes 4-13 for £120.00.

Kohaku DX Kobe

Meaning ‘amber’ in Japanese, the Kohaku is a new style for this season and is based on the classic shaping of basketball shoes. Again, finest Kobe leather and a subtle Tiger Head logo on the collar make for a very premium execution.

Comes in black in sizes 4-13 for £130.00.

Mexico Midrunner DX Kobe

The Mexico Midrunner DX combines the sleek and sophisticated look of the Mexico DX and the unique appeal of the high top. Finished here in premium Kobe Leather.

Comes in brown in sizes 4-13 for £140.00.

The styles sadly won’t be available until early Autumn – but we can’t wait!

Onitsuka Tiger’s Electric Tiger Land trainer glows in the dark

Onitsuka Tiger’s Electric Tiger Land shoe launched last week in a limited edition across the country.

The shoe has a Japanese cityscape design which comes alive thanks to embroidery detailing and UV-reactive printing. Available in black and white from Size?, Offspring and Foot Asylum and in red from Onitsuka Tiger’s Newburgh street shop they retail at £80. The Electric black, pictured above glows under UV light to reveal a night-time Tokyo skyline; all I want to know is where are the masses and masses of electrical cable which punctuate a typical Japanese skyline?!

Onitsuka Tiger ultimate 81 trainers

By admin on June 18th, 2008

Lucky for me I have large feet because these Onitsuka Tigers only come in men’s sizes. I wouldn’t normally go for shoes so bright but somehow these work. They’re £49.99 from Office and will look great with a pair of really dark indigo jeans to make the colour pop.

The colourful kicks are available in size 7 to 10 and boast at least ten colours that I can see, but I’m sure that there at least half a dozen more hidden away under the tongue somewhere.

Onitsuka Tiger and Mini do the business

By admin on January 14th, 2008

The 80′s trend started out as one movement
but then fragmented into whatever you took to be 80′s. On one side was the
coloured jeans 80′s trend, thankfully that was short lived. On the other side
was the 80′s as seen in the film “The
Business
“, starring down-to-earth cockney superbloke Danny Dyer. If you’re
looking to complete your superbloke look then these Onitsuka Tiger trainers
should do the job. Or the business, if you’re into bad puns.

Inspired by Mini, Onitsuka Tiger have
sought to bring all the best elements from the car to your feet. In case you’re
wondering, that doesn’t mean these are the adult form of Heelys. They’re available
in cream, black and brown, so you should be able to find one that matches a
Sergio Tacchini track jacket.

Top Five smart trainers

By ShinyMedia on April 24th, 2007

Smart trainers are a great staple, perfect for smartening up casualwear and making suits look less stuffy, so I’ve picked five that will easily take you from work to the weekend. Starting with the Onitsuka Tiger (pictured), the bright orange adds a flash of interest and will give a high tec look to a grey suit. The Adidas Samba is a classic, and this reworked version is stylishly unobtrusive. Two Converse shoes, the first is features an eye-pleasing combo of cream and stony beige, and the second is the classic all black Mono. Lastly, the Puma 5000m is more of a standout shoe but will look great with dark blue jeans or a brown suit or cords. See after the jump for full image and product links.
