Gallery: Noel Fielding, Dizzee Rascal and The Cure at last night’s NME Awards

By admin on February 26th, 2009

Even though he hasn’t had a hit album or ever appeared on Top of the Pops, Noel Fielding seems to be as much a part of the NME awards as booze and backstage brawls. He showed up to last ngiht’s event in a fetching pair of silver boots, but never fear some of the other stars made a pretty good effort too. Check out our gallery to see what Patrick Wolf, Friendly Fires and the rest of the guests wore.

Matthew Williamson, Patrick Wolf and Henry Conway at the On|Off party

By admin on September 16th, 2008

The On|Off party was a truly special event with massages and mini-spa treatments galore, and limited edition goodie bags created by Natalie Thakur who is known for her leather homage to the plastic bag.
As if that wasn’t enough indie child prodigy Patrick Wolf played a storming set, but what I want to know is where has the red hair gone? Check out gallery to see what Matthew Williamson and Henry Conway were wearing.

Bobby Gillespie et al played a gig recently to promote Diesel Black Gold, the premium collection launched by the Italian brand this Spring. Bassist Mani sported a Gallic ensemble of red and white striped top and white jeans but I don’t think he had Liz Hurley in mind. Gillespie coordinated with his bandmate in a sheer striped shirt. See after the jump for more images including Patrick Wolf in shorts.

Patrick Wolf and Charlotte Church duet

By Isabelle on March 30th, 2007

I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Patrick Wolf; as a 14-year old he started performing with cult band Minty starting a career in music that has seen him produce three albums, his latest release, ‘The Magic Position’ came out in February. Wolf’s a bit of an indie darling so I was really surprised to see him on the Charlotte Church show, and even more surprised when he performed a cover of Prince’s "When Doves Cry" with her. It’s by no means as good as the Beth Ditto and Jarvis Cocker duet at the NME awards a few months back, and it takes a while for Charlotte’s voice to warm up but it’s great.
