Nicola Formichetti’s blog is a haven for fashion-friendlies worldwide. From Japanese karaoke to Lady Gaga in the dressing room via iD and plenty of Hedi Slimane, this blog is always full of intimate shots and fashion-star exclusives. Nicola recently featured images from his latest shoot with Slimane for Hedi Slimane.com. Brad Pitt, currently promoting his new film ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ has nabbed the cover of this month’s W magazine. Brad stars in a photographic portfolio by Chuck Close and the black-and-white pics are basically Pitt at a few different angles. The covers boasts that this issue is ‘The A-List’ issue with “the superstar, the hottest directors, the coolest producers 7 the glitziest Hollywood memorials.”
See after the jump for the entire set of photos and tell us what you think of Brad’s attempt to be arty over on our Facebook wall.

VMAN has just released a preview of their next issue (VMAN 11) and by the looks of this preview editorial, ‘Suit Yourself,’ it is going to be incredible. Reflecting V Magazine’s ‘The Women’ editorial, which took rich photography and a classic country manor to project an image of high-society living, this editorial tells a nostalgic story of traditional tailoring with almost grainy photography used to stunning effects.
The photographic wizard at hand is none other than David Sherry and the story is styled by Jay Massacret. VMAN introduces the editorial with “this year’s fall suits combine elegant fine tailoring, clean lines, and a whiff of smoky nostalgia.” A perfect introduction to a perfect editorial.
See after the jump for the entire editorial with product listings.

“Before Breakfast, I Am No Style Icon.”
It was revealed yesterday afternoon that the latest issue of Vogue Germany has a multiple cover. One goes to Toni Garrn and the other to Brandish fave, Daniel Craig.
Daniel is shot by Rankin in a relatively boring editorial, and the cover headline is “Mr. Style & Mrs. Chic.” I like the colour palette of hot red with the white-light background and cool colours of Craig’s outfit, but the pout is a bit off and the turn of this good-looker’s head makes it look as if he has an odd and inflamed left-ear.
Read on for some shocking German translations and more details of this issue.

The Farlex Free Dictionary decrees that Monday is “the second day of the week, and the first day of the working week.” That latter part means that for most of us, it is a ridiculously depressing day of hellish tasks and grumpy peers.
So why not add a dash of excitement with these pictures from the August 2008 issue of Dazed & Confused. From the title editorial, itself entitled ‘Dark Magic,’ I present to you Luke Worrall in high heels and other pieces of women’s clothing.
Read on for all the pics.

In a 3-week diary for The Independent, Mario Testino has revealed all on life as one of fashion’s big players. But catching our attention is the news that Mario was in New York on the 18th of June to shoot Gossip Girl‘s Chase Crawford for VMAN’s next issue.
As a forward and delightfully stylish mag for in-the-know sartorialists, VMAN is always one to watch and Brandish has previously reported on its great use of graphics and imagery in different editorials.
Testino reports that he shot “a young actor called Chase Crawford – he’s, like, the heartthrob of the moment. It’s much more unusual for me to photograph guys. I find women are more exciting because you can play with the fashion. With men, there are more restrictions.”
