Ellen Stagg x Mishka just won’t be out done

By Jonathan Smith on November 13th, 2008

Hot on the heels of yesterdays Terry Richardson x Supreme post comes news of the Ellen Stagg x Mishka 2009 calendar and t-shirt, proving once more that these photographer/clothing company collabs just won’t be out done by one another. This collab is slightly more promising however with a calendar AND t-shirt to choose from. “WOW” I hear you cry, and WOW would be right because this calender is full of tits and bums, typical of Stagg’s provocative style of scantily clad photography.

Jump through for more images of the calender and t-shirt, though just FYI, these are not safe for work- which made things interesting for me uploading these on my lunch break.

Band of Outsiders Holiday Collection

By admin on October 21st, 2008

Band of Outsiders designer Scott Sternberg asked photographer Paul Jasmin to pose for their Holiday Collection in his LA home, it’s a shoot full of character and really gets the message of the clothes across.
The pieces are traditional menswear worn with a casual feel, think mustard velvet waistcoats, gently rumpled shirts and bow ties.

VMAN has just released a preview of their next issue (VMAN 11) and by the looks of this preview editorial, ‘Suit Yourself,’ it is going to be incredible. Reflecting V Magazine’s ‘The Women’ editorial, which took rich photography and a classic country manor to project an image of high-society living, this editorial tells a nostalgic story of traditional tailoring with almost grainy photography used to stunning effects.

The photographic wizard at hand is none other than David Sherry and the story is styled by Jay Massacret. VMAN introduces the editorial with “this year’s fall suits combine elegant fine tailoring, clean lines, and a whiff of smoky nostalgia.” A perfect introduction to a perfect editorial.

See after the jump for the entire editorial with product listings.

Mario Testino Lets Slip – VMAN Cover to Chase Crawford

By Will Reid on July 8th, 2008

chase-crawford.jpgIn a 3-week diary for The Independent, Mario Testino has revealed all on life as one of fashion’s big players. But catching our attention is the news that Mario was in New York on the 18th of June to shoot Gossip Girl‘s Chase Crawford for VMAN’s next issue.

As a forward and delightfully stylish mag for in-the-know sartorialists, VMAN is always one to watch and Brandish has previously reported on its great use of graphics and imagery in different editorials.

Testino reports that he shot “a young actor called Chase Crawford – he’s, like, the heartthrob of the moment. It’s much more unusual for me to photograph guys. I find women are more exciting because you can play with the fashion. With men, there are more restrictions.”
