Having never been to Africa before it was a memorable trip, and I felt it was my duty to snap some of the well-dressed men that I saw out and about for you Brandish readers. Burkina Faso is one of the poorest countries in the world, but people are turned out in brilliant clothes, and the Touareg men in Mali are a vision! This is only a tiny percentage of the amazing outfits I spotted, because snapping away at people felt a lot ruder than it might in Japan or the UK for example, but hopefully it gives you a taste for African fashion.

You may have noticed I’ve been away, I’ve just come back from a great trip to Burkina Faso where Sebago shoes are totally the in thing (stay tuned for an East Africa fashion round up). The shoe company is celebrating their 40th birthday with a limited edition range in conjuction with Colette and Parisian agency La MJC.
If you ask Brandish shall deliver. Paul asked recently where to find a white deck shoe and when I spotted a pair in a shop window at the weekend I made a mental note of it. They’ll set you back $85 from the website or head to your nearest Russell and Bromley where they’re approxinately the same price.
