I’ve gone on about the splash of colour trend in drips and draps for a good while now and I’ve finally found someone who likes it even more than I do. Men’s Vogue writer Amanda Brooks features a large selection of men past and present who have worked the colourful look. It even features a pre-ugly jumper Bill Cosby looking rather suave in a yellow turtleneck.
Like any sane person, you probably haven’t paid any attention to the Pope’s US visit. Neither was I, until I saw picture of him in these magnificent red shoes. Apparently there is a long tradition of pope’s wearing red shoes, going back to the days of Roman emperors. But who care about that? It’s the Pope! Wearing red shoes!
The whole metallic thing never really took off – mainly because most people didn’t want to look like an extra from a Kraftwerk video. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some great metallic pieces to be found, like these metallic silver Springcourts.
