Princes Vintage is a cut above your average eBay store, there’s no risk of looking like a mismatched musty throwback with the goods they have on offer. Here is a selection of hot items for summer and trusty wardrobe staples:
Make no mistake, rucksacks are back and this leather one is smart enough for formal occasions. Every man needs a good suit, and if you can find a vintage one that fits well hold onto it for dear life, similarly a quality pair of vintage brogues will last an eternity and they go with a wide variety of looks. Lastly, white trousers are your shortcut to summer smart, but make sure you add an idiosyncratic twist like a neckerchief, retro watch or deck shoes in a sherbet pastel so you don’t look too trad.

Topman is great for its designer collaborations and its ‘Priceless’ range, designed by celebrated fashion designer and tailor Antony Price, delivers every season. The range has just gone up on Topman.com and with its wonderful waistcoats, brilliant blazers and perfectly pleated pants (in the American sense of the word,) I can’t wait to get a piece of the action! The look on the left is almost exactly what I outlined in my ‘Will’s Summer Wants’ piece only last month and the peach colour is perfect for summer.
Other standout pieces include the taffeta suits in purple and green as well as the ‘ice grey chintz’ suit. Most jackets are around £140 with trousers at £60. Why not enlighten us as to what you plan to invest in by chatting to us on Facebook?
P.S- The ‘Swim Skinny’ suit is a fash-gasm waiting to happen!

Since turning up at the Met’s Costume Institute Gala with a trinity of her Hollywood girlfriends, Stella McCartney has had a whirlwind week involving everyone from Simon Doonan (creative director of Barneys) to Michelle Obama.
While chatting to the gloriously over-the-top Doonan, Stella was asked about lending her ethical hand to a menswear collection. “Yes, I would love to!”- so what can we expect? I’m hoping for vegan-leather brogues and penny loafers, baggy suit jackets, chunky patterned knits for men, modern shapes and shirts in innovative fabrics.
McCartney, herself, spoke recently about her love of menswear: “I’ve always been a bit obsessed with men’s tailoring. When I was in St. Martins, I’d take time out at night and go work on Savile Row. I was always influenced by my mum and dad’s wardrobe and they always had really cool bespoke suits.”
I can’t wait! (Just no lace jumpsuits, please!)

We all know that by now shorts have staked their claim on the fashion map, and rightly so, until men can wear skirts in the street a la most recent Fantastic Man issue, the options are fairly limited.
So praise be to Angus Young for rocking shorts since before I was even born, which is a very long time. I’m not a 100% sure the utilitarian Clarksalike trainers and white sports socks is what I’d team his suit with, but not everyone can understand a trailblazer. You’ve now got a model to copy for summer, go forth to the office in your shorts suit!

When you see a photo of a teen wearing a prom tuxedo jacket fashioned entirely from Coke cans, you have to wonder what the teen in question does with their free time. This guy, a Napoleon Dynamite-lookalike with a penchant for commercialism, has decided to venture into eco-friendly fashion and after the jump you can witness the entire creation of the waistcoat and jacket (plus bowtie!) from metal to masterpiece. Sadly, this look is more Sideshow Bob than Stella McCartney.

By my calculations Barack Obama has now racked up his third GQ cover which isn’t bad going for someone who’s only just been inaugurated. This cements his official position as probably the most stylish president America has ever had. I wonder if we’ll get bored of the suit by summer though? Fingers crossed for some relaxed holiday pap snaps and the obligatory grey marl jogging in DC shots.

Christmas is fast approaching and if you’re still stuck for ideas then Franklin Prince’s bracelets (£10) make the perfect stocking filler or thoughtful Secret Santa. Hippy chic is not something you often see on Brandish and to be quite honest I’m glad, but these bracelets are like a smarter, more grown-up version of the tat you wear around your wrist as a teen; men’s jewellery doesn’t get much better than this.
Lapo Elkann, Fiat heir and Gianni Agnelli’s grandson wears similar style bracelets with a suit to personalise a formal look and it’s a damn sight more stylish than donning a pair of novelty socks which lets face it, no one wants for Christmas!

The Antony Price collection (click here to see the gallery) made its Topman debut on Friday and although I haven’t been instore yet I’m keen to see how it’s selling.
There’s a good selection of quality suiting and some quirky accessories like the eye print tie and the purple bow tie which will lend a little character to your outfit without quite being on the Tazmanian Devil/Homer Simpson novelty sock level of kook.

Gianni Agnelli is a man constantly sourced as style inspiration to fashionistos across the world. From his flair for fine tailoring to his edgy take on accessories, this man had a look that was extremely well-executed and so timeless that it is still being copied on the catwalks of today. Agnelli’s grandson, Lapo Elkann, continues to wear all of Agnelli’s bespoke suits and it is no coincidence that Elkann has, in recent years, been hailed as a modern style icon by the likes of US Vogue and Esquire.
The article is full of great style advice such as, “if you want to dress like an iconoclast, your first step is to dismiss all of the old rules of fashion — just like Gianni Agnelli did when he wore his wristwatch over his sleeve cuff.”

So the news is in and the votes have been counted. Barack Obama is now the US president but he was always undisputedly the most stylish candidate in the race.
His trademark tall and lean look is accentuated by his uniform of slim-fitting suits and petrol blue fabric which complemented his colouring perfectly. There was a lot of fuss made over his wife Michelle’s sharp sartorial decisions but here is the man himself in picutres.

Tavi, the girl-wonder-blogger with a fashion sense so incredibly brilliant I feel like crying when I ‘m reading her blog, has found this picture and decided that she wants to marry the wearer of this great, gold jacket.
I’m okay with just being his friend but it is an undoubtedly fantastic image.
Now, the only question is where to find that jacket.

I’m not the biggest fan of custom-altered off the peg suits, if you want a well-fitting suit then save up and visit a tailor.
Having said that there’s no denying that a personalised suit serves a purpose and is great for those who want the next step up from off the peg. Suitopia, a Swedish company, offer a service which includes embroidered initials, choice of fabrics and cut. Their fabrics are all reassuringly tasteful variations on grey, petrol blue and brown but the thing which endears me most to the company is their mustachioed man wearing their suit of the month, above.

I have a bit of an obsession with Waris Ahluwalia, the jewellery designer, actor and sometime Ben Cho collaborator.
Café Mode’s Géraldine snapped him looking amazingly turned out for the Ben Cho show in New York recently. It’s a happy coincidence but the dark grey background adds to the tonal mix of his outfit. I love the dun brown suit, and the contrast with the delicate floral pocket square. Research has shown that if you stare at a picture of a tree for long enough it lowers your heart rate, but I think in this instance you could happily substitute tree for Waris Ahluwalia.

My bad! I may have the wrong film but I doubt such a slip-up would result in a look that miserable from Robert DeNiro? Might it be that he’s fed up with films? Maybe he (okay, clearly he) couldn’t be bothered to make the effort to dress up but my bet is that it’s standing next to Al Pacino who, as well as being an arguably equal competitor on the greatest actor front, actually looks pretty good!
Read on for pictures including 50 Cent as well as info about this cult-to-be film.
