Primal Scream - "Screamadelica" TravelTunes wallet
We’ve already lost the ability to promote our reading habits on the bust thanks to coverless-Kindles (maybe for the best if you’re a Fifty Shades fan…), and there’s nothing more obnoxious than blasting out your favourite tunes through a smartphone loudspeaker.
The true gent flaunts his impeccable taste in more subtle ways. When it comes to music, how about these classic album themed Oyster Card/credit card wallets from TravelTunes.
There are nine up for grabs; Kasabian’s “Kasabian“, Leftfield’s “Leftism“, Manic Street Preachers’ “Everything Must Go“, Mark Ronson’s “Version“, My Bloody Valentine’s “Loveless“, Oasis’s “Definitely Maybe“, Primal Scream’s “Screamadelica“, Teenage Fanclub’s “Bandwagonesque” and the first self-titled album from The Stone Roses.
Not only do you get the wallet, but for £5.99 you get a digital download of the associated album to go with it.
To give the collection a look, check out our gallery above, and then click here to order.

I always seem to have a handful of change in my pocket at the end of the day, so recently have been looking to invest in a good coin wallet. That is when I came across this great one from Untold. I was totally sold by the exposed stitching along the edge, and punchout detailing which reveals different colors including yellow, blue, orange and green. The wallet comes in various shades of light brown, dark brown and black.

Beauty expert Zara gives us the ‘need to knows’ on Lynx Bullet: Deodorants aren’t the most exciting things in the world, nut with nifty add campaigns and entertaining TV virals, Lynx has carved out a niche in the market. Their latest development is for the Bullet, their new pocket sized can that can create the ‘Lynx Effect’ when you’re out and about.
But how would one carry such an item? A mere backpack seems like a silly idea- so they’ve designed a custom leather wallet to keep it in.

Available as part of the new Jil Sander collection at OkiNi are some very lovely accessories that are the very essence of the pared-down but colourful 60s-themed collection. I particularly like this key ring – pricey at nearly £100 quid – but surely to be replicated elsewhere at more affordable prices. The Timex watch strikes a new note in an unusual colourway that only confirms that one way to make a statement this S/S is through strong colours. Meanwhile this chunky, plaid tie would look awesome over a smart, chambray shirt. Finally, the Jimi rubber wallet available in a range of luscious colours is almost edible. Themes for SS09 accessories? Cute, colourful, retro and graphic. How clear is that?

My style pick for this week is this gorgeous Comme Des Garcons wallet from Start London. Mr Start, a past columnist for Brandish, has a great look and I can imagine this item slotting into his vintage chic and classic cool wardrobe quite nicely. The embossed leather is a great cerulean blue, made famous by the brilliant film ‘The Devil Wears Prada.’ The wallet has a zip around two sides and an “internal pocket to hold either coins, cards or bills.”

When I was younger I was always fascinated by the flip wallets that train conductors used to carry. They’d collect your folding off you, place it inside the wallet, close it and then open it again and magically the money would be held securely in place. Man, how I wanted one of those.
Well now my boyish dreams can come true with the Flip Wallet from Becko available from Azita. It’s a beautifully crafted piece in embossed leather with card pockets on the outside, side slits for other bits and bobs and of course the special flip mechanism on the inside. See it in action here. It’s a mere £25/ €36 and comes in 4 equally lovely colours.

I think I’m the only person in the world who still has any tapes, admittedly making compilations for friends is so much easier with cds but I used love carrying around my chunky walkman and rewinding the tapes with biros or pencils. Even better was taking them apart, unscrewing them with the point of a knife and carefully sellotaping the broken tape back together. So obviously when I saw this cassette wallet from Topman my heart leapt, it’s £10 which is a damn sight more expensive than my first tape (Bryan Adams, shamefully).
