The Patek Philippe 2499 is like the Holy Grail of wristwatches, the sort of timepiece enthusiasts would happily dive in-front of marauding boulder, Indiana Jones style, in order to acquire. Perhaps the rarest wristwatch in the world, and also regarded by many experts as the finest ever made too, it’s about to go up for sale at Christies in Geneva on November 12th, something …

Being boring, tired and suffering from a slight addiction to Russell Brand meant that I spent most of last night in front of the TV watching a double whammy of my favourite shows. Yes, for those who missed it, last night saw The Friday Night Project (with Gok Wan) and Jonathan Ross (with Russell Brand and Ashton Kutcher) provide an excuse for home imprisonment across the UK.
Red’s a bit of an unusual choice for a watch but a subtle flash of colour doesn’t go unnoticed and the Cool Hand watch is a classy timepiece.
"I got the style but not the grace, I got the clothes but not the face, I got the bread but not the butter I got the winda but not the shutter" starts Tom Waits’ great song ‘Big In Japan’.
