Lacoste Challenge: Fresh Scent For Summer

By admin on June 12th, 2009

Kiss & Makeup‘s Zara writes…

Lacoste are launching a new scent which challenges men to be, uh, Challenge(d). The idea is that the scent will capture the essence of today’s young metrosexual, and be light enough to wear daily. Considering the tagline is ‘Never resist the call of the game’. it seems pretty relevant for Wimbledon, and I can imagine Henman spritzing on a little in between getting trounced trying his hardest.

The scent combines notes of tangerine and lemon mixed with aromatic lavender- an unusual combination for a male scent. They have added ginger to give it an extra a kick though, so hopefully you’ll be feeling zesty rather than getting flashbacks to your gran’s knicker drawer.

It costs from £24 for 50ml, and will be available this summer.

Ronaldo’s suit: Yay or Nay? I’m just kidding, of course it’s nay

ronaldoinwhite.jpgCristiano Ronaldo’s choice of suit clearly got on The London Paper’s nerves as the headline read ‘Cristiano, you look a white idiot’. To be fair, the suit itself was well tailored and it was clearly designed for Ronaldo, which is more than you can say for Rafael Nadal’s Wimbledon party suit. I’ll also make the generous assumption that the trainers were a medical prescription to help him with his injury.

But that’s as far as I’ll go with praise for this outfit. His white shirt is so Daz white that I can’t even make out the detailing, although it looks like it has concealed buttons. Like I said, nice tailoring on the suit though.

What do you think of Roger Federer’s Wimbledon look?

By admin on June 25th, 2008

roger federer wimbledon tennis cardigan.jpgRoger Federer turned heads on court at Wimbledon sporting a refined retro outfit of gold-trimmed cardigan, polo shirt and tailored shorts. It’s a departure from the on court trend of wearing hi-tech sportswear and harks back to a more genteel era of tennis.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no sartorial luddite, but Federer’s preppy chic outfit is a cut above your average sweat soaked poly-mesh racer back all-in-onsie. Whether it will make any difference to his game remains to be seen, as he faces Robin Soderling at lunchtime. Vote in our poll and let us know what you think of the Swiss tennis star.
